My September Haul

Good Morning my beauties!! Hope you've all had a good weekend. I have a haul post for all those lovely nosey Rosie's out there, hehehe, you know who you are ladies ;) Let me make a start for you.

I'll make a start with all my lovely Boots goodies for you. I have Perrie from Little Mix's press on nails that I have had my eye on for ages and I'm dying to try them out, they retail for £6. My lush Soap & Glory hand cream, I will only buy this it's my fave and only costs £5. This not only smells yummy but my hands feel amazing after using this. Then I have 4 Models Own polishes which were on buy 1 get 1 half price so I bagged 4 polishes for £15!! The shades I chose are Magenta Divine, Juicy Jules, Absinthe & Amethyst (both from the new Velvet Goth collection).

Rimmel Lasting Finish in Disco Ball which I have finally got my hands on (every time I went in for it they were sold out, this was the last bottle too) this was on offer for £1.99 instead of £2.99. I got my first 2 Revlon polishes in Sparkling & Radiant these were also on offer for 2 for £10. SEVENTEEN rock hard couture effects in Cameo Crush, this caught my eye and I couldn't leave it, it was £3.99 and I can't wait to try it out. I also got my hands on Barry M in Mushroom, I'm loving browns and glitters at the moment. And lastly I got these 2 lush No7 polishes in Moonlit Shadow & In The Stars. I got them both for £6!!! Thanks to Boots amazing offers I got these buy 1 get 1 half price and using my £3 off No 7 voucher!! I always end up buying when I'm in Boots.

Next up are my market finds. I LOVE taking a trip to my local market and seeing what bargains they have and these were my latest ones for £1.25 each!!! I have 2 Revlon's in Sheer Rose and Stunning, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Raspberry Race (even though it looks purple) and Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in Lilac Chantilly.

And finally there's this LUSH China Glaze glitter in Nova that I have been searching for, for too long and I found this baby on Beauty Bay for £4.95 with free P&P. They have some great polishes on there and pretty cheap too!

I have lots of sparkly goodness this week. Keep an eye out for some mani's coming up with these lush polishes. There you have it guys that's my haul for this month.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

Polish Party: Autumn

Hi, Hi!! Today, I have my first Polish Party group challenge mani to show you lovely people. I'm super excited to be taking part in this monthly challenge with some of the lovely ladies I can now call my friends. To find out more about who's taking part and more about the challenge click here.

I'm a total Autumn baby and I love this time of year when it starts getting colder and the nights are darker, now don't get me wrong I love the summer but there's something magical about the Autumn. I had so many ideas for what I wanted to do and so tried a few out which were absolutely rubbish. I wanted to try and design what comes to mind when I think of Autumn.

This design was what I came up with. I added a little red squirrel (that's what it is, even though it looks like a weird rabbit, lol) 2 trees (yes one looks like a ninjas nun chuck) and then all the colours I think of when Autumn comes to mind. I was definitely having a bad nail day.

Here's my design in natural light without my camera flash. overall I'm pleased with this and I like the colours I sponged onto my nails but I would change a few things. I really hope you like my Autumn mani and I can't wait for the next Polish Party theme.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

My First Matte Mani

Hello beauties, Today I thought I would show my first Matte mani.

I bought the Rimmel Matte Finish Mattifying Top Coat a few months back in Boots and put it with all my other polish treatments and forgot about it. Then I came across it again a while back and decided I should give it a try but then forgot about it again and I've finally used it!! I've never really been drawn to matte mani's but after this I can honestly say I love it! I will be doing more of these.

This is the polish I decided needed a matte makeover. I bought this pretty bronze polish in Tesco a while back for 99p which not only is a bargain but it's pretty good quality too. See how glossy she is?? This is without any form of topcoat.

Since this is my first matte mani I wanted to keep it really simple just in case I didn't like this but it turns out I do. So I will definitely be trying some nail art along with this lovely matte topcoat. I have to say I really don't know why it's taken me so long to try the Rimmel matte top coat out. I'm not sure if this is still available to buy, from what I've heard it has been discontinued. I bought this for £4.49 and I have to say it was money well spent.

There you have it guys, I will be experimenting more.
Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

SEVENTEEN Quicker Slicker Colour Review

Hiya lovelies!! Hope you're all having a better week than I am. Lol, I can't believe I've managed to break ALL of my nails so I will only be posting a couple of mani's with super short nubblins until my nails grow back. But in the meantime I still have a few posts for you guys.

Today, I have a review for you lovely lot. I love SEVENTEEN products, they're great quality and even better value for money. They have recently re-branded from 17 and have started to bring out lots of new products. The Quicker Slicker range has replaced the Fast Finish range with some new shades to go along with old favourites.

Quicker Slicker claim to be high shine and touch dry within 50 seconds. These are great if you haven't got much time and they have some lovely glitter polishes in the range too, so you don't just have to go for a plain colour. These really do live up to their claim. I got Jitterbug and Ballgown. Jitterbug is this lovely orange shade, I really like this. It's a slightly darker orange which I don't have in my polish collection.

I also have Ballgown which is this pretty pearly white which has a slight shimmer running through it. It's not quite a white, it's slightly off white if that makes sense?? Lol, it's really pretty in person.

How pretty are these shades?? They are available from Boots for £2.99. These are really great polishes if you tend to smudge your polish which I do if I'm not able to sit completely still until it's dry. The only thing I would say is that these all needed 2 coats as the first coat was a little streaky as I tried to use thin coats but you will need a good amount of polish on your brush to get it in 1 coat. Overall, these are great polishes and look really pretty on.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

Free Nails Inc. Nail Polish with Colgate Max White One

As you'll all know Colgate teamed up with Nails Inc. to create 2 new Limited Edition shades of nail polish - Luminous Red Gloss & Luminous Red Metallic. These LE shades were FREE when you purchased the new Colgate Max White ONE Luminous toothpaste from Boots.

The toothpaste was £3.99 and says something about making your teeth whiter in one week, I haven't really had a good look as I was too excited about the FREE full sized polish! Lol. I just can't resist a FREE Nails Inc. I was torn between the 2 colours and almost picked them both but decided that I have too many plain red shades so I went for the Metallic one.

I'm so glad I chose the metallic one as it's so pretty on and I'd say it would make the perfect polish for around Christmas time. I can't wait to do some Christmas nail art with it.

It's a really pretty polish don't you think?! I used 2 cats for this but if you're super careful you could get away with just using 1 coat. These were available as long as stocks lasted. Did anyone get the Luminous Red Gloss one?? (which I believe is a matte) I'd love to see photos of that one.

Until Next Time Guys, Keep Polishing.

Swatched | Models Own - Thunder & Lightening

Hiya guys! Hope you've not missed me too much, I know I've been MIA for a few days but I've just had THE busiest week ever! It's not been the best, however I am now back and shall catch up on the blog posts I've missed posting! So let's just crack on with what I've got in store for you shall we??

This has to be one of my favourite black glitters!! I absolutely LOVE this polish, I mean you can clearly see how pretty it is from my photos (at least I hope you can!). Every time I look into the bottle it's like there's a whole rainbow trapped in there.

The only thing I don't like about this polish is that it takes LOADS of coats to make it opaque. as you can see from my photo. I really don't like wasting polish so whenever I have this on I cheat a little and put a nice even coat of black polish before adding 2 coats of Thunder & Lightening over the top.

Look at how sparkly she is in the sun!! I mean she's a beauty right?! As with most glitter polishes I would recommend using a top coat so you don't get that rough feel to your nails and it also give your glitters that extra bit of sparkle. I bought a gorgeous pair of sparkly heels just after Christmas and was trying to find a polish that matched and I ordered this from Models Own shortly after just by chance......

I squealed with delight when I found out that it matches perfectly!! I always pair these baby's up when I go for a night out (which is roughly once every couple of months!) I don't even know what made me order it but I'm so glad I did. I was just expecting a plain black polish with a slight silvery shimmer but when I got this full on rainbow sparkle I couldn't have been more happier! I'd definitely say YOU NEED THIS in your collection!!

I hope you enjoy the sparkles as much as I do!
Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

Avon Leopard Nail Tips Review

Good Morning my beautiful readers!! How are we all on this fab Saturday morning?? I have a review for you today. I will be reviewing these cute nail sticker tips from Avon for you.

I spotted these in the Avon book a while back and thought these were too cute to pass up so I ordered myself some. You get 28 tips on each sheet with a small set of instructions although they do seem pretty easy to apply.

They have a good selection of tip sizes so I didn't have too many problems finding ones to fit my nails, I did have to cut a couple down as I have REALLY tiny hands so my smaller nails are the size of a newborns! Lol. However, they are quite delicate and do break easily so just be careful. I found them a little tricky to apply and I would say they will take a little time and patience to apply them but once on they look really cute. I would suggest maybe using a pair of tweezers to help with these stickers.

I paired my tips up with this lush yellow polish also from Avon in Lemon Sugar, as you can see I didn't quite get the hang of applying them but I will give them another go and allocate myself a bit longer to do them. They cost £6 but I got these on offer for £3 and I'm sure they're still on offer. I used 3 coats of Top Coat to seal them in but found they did still peel a little but they lasted me around 3 days which is pretty impressive.

Removing them is a little tricky so try soaking them in some nail polish remover first then using a cotton pad to remove the rest.I was a little disappointed in these to be honest as they did peel and rip really easily. I haven't seen many reviews on these but I do believe in second chances so I will be trying these out again with the hopes of giving myself more time these will go on much easier and not peel. I do like these and they are great for lazy nail art days.

Have you tried these?? What did you think?? I really hope you liked my review.
Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

Black Magic Tutorial

Hello lovelies! Today's post is my first tutorial for you guys and it's for my Black Magic mani, I have had a few people ask me how it was done so I thought it would be easier to show you. I hope you enjoy this. Shall we make a start then??

You Will Need:
Black Nail Polish (I chose Avon Licorice)
Silver Nail Polish (I chose Avon Starry Sky)
Dotting Tool, cocktail stick or a bobby pin for the dots.

Step By Step:

1. I started by painting 2 coats of my chosen polishes on my nails, I painted Licorice on 3 of my nails first then I used my thumb and ring finger as accents so painted them in Starry Sky.

2. After painting the 2 coats I left my nails to dry completely before going any further to stop me from smudging them. I applied a top coat at this stage too but that's an optional step.

3. Once everything is completely dry I painted the opposite polishes diagonally on half the nail. I used Silver over the black and black over the silver. Mine don't look even because I free handed this part with the brush and painted 2 coats for an even result but if you want your lines to look straight and even I suggest using tape to give it a more professional look.

4. To make the dots I put a blob of each polish (using one polish at a time) onto a damp cotton pad, you can use pretty much anything for this I do suggest using maybe an artist palette or something like the bottom of a tub, something that you can remove the excess polish off of easily. I took my dotting tool and starting with my thumb and ring finger I added 4 silver dots along the line. Then using the black polish I used my dotting tool to add 3 dots on each nail.

This is the cotton pad I used and my dotting tool.

Et Voila, this is how you're finished mani should look. How pretty is this?? I really hope you enjoyed my first tutorial and it was easy to follow. Please be gentle with me and leave me any (nice, lol)  feedback you may have.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

NOTD: Black Magic

Hiya guys! Hope you're all good, today I thought I would share with you the mani I did when I went to a friends Silver Wedding Anniversary party a couple of weeks ago. I liked them that much that I have done them again for today. I got quite a few compliments and was asked who had done them. So shall we have a look at my Black Magic mani??

It's such a simple mani but looks so pretty, don't you think??I love how my dots look like they've been cut out :) As always I prepped my nails with a base coat and chose these 2 lush Avon nail polishes in Starry Sky & Licorice.

I absolutely love how well they look together. It's so sparkly. I didn't even know what I was doing when I done this I literally just let the polishes do the talking and this is the finished look. I think sometimes the simple mani's look the best.

I do have a tutorial coming up for this so you can have a go at re-creating them. I really hope you like these.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.

NOTD: Pink Double Dotticure

Hiya lovelies!! Hope you've all had a fabulicious weekend. Today I have a simple NOTD to show you with some double dots. Wanna take a look??

I absolutely love, love, love this pink from Nails Inc. I got this free with Glamour magazine way back in December and I use this quite a lot. It's a really pretty pale pink that you can use as with a French manicure. I didn't want to do anything too crazy and take the beauty of the colour away so I kept it simple with a double dotticure. As always I prep my nails with a base coat.

I used 3 coats of this to make the shade a little darker then waited for it to dry completely before adding my white dots with my dotting tool, after the white dots had dried I added my pink dots in the middle of those. I added some Seche Vite top coat for a super glossy finish.

Until Next Time, Keep Polishing.
